Andrew Andrawes: Flow
In this collection I employ photography to portray the deep primal draw I feel toward water.
From space we see a blue planet mostly made of water and when we search for life on other planets, we look for signatures of water. When I look through water I see my reflection.
My curiosity about where I came from has led me to an exploration and yearning for a connection to something greater than myself. The ancient Egyptians looked to the Nile as a mirror of the milky way and source of creation. In the flow of water there is fragility and strength. Water can create and it can destroy. Where does the water go?
