Sanaz Mazinani: Site, Sight, and Insight
Inspired by what is unique and special about a place, Mazinani develops site-specific artworks that challenge the act of looking. Utilizing a photographic and media based landscape Mazinani will speak about her study of digital image propagation and its impact on representation and perception. Mazinani will talk about her pursuit in investigating all aspects of media in the contemporary moment where post-truth politics are in a continual negotiation between our understanding of the larger political climate and the abundance of data we receive daily.
TUESDAY NIGHT LECTURE SERIES | An acclaimed weekly lecture series brings in artists, designers, and critical theorists from around the world, broadening the students’ experiential base and complementing local offerings. All lectures and exhibitions are open to the general public free of charge. Unless otherwise indicated, all presentations will be held in the Art Building, Room #133, from 5-6pm.
