Slayton also recently retired as Executive Director of ZERO1, after having developed it into one of the most significant art and technology festivals in North America. A visionary leader, he has continually promoted new ways to showcase the work of groundbreaking artists who reflect and comment on the world around them, in so doing building partnerships with industry, academia, and government at a scale not previously attempted in this valley. Former Director of SJSU’s prestigious Cadre Lab, Slayton is a pioneering artist in his own right as well, exploring and disrupting the boundaries between art and technology.
