Collegium Musicum
During the Renaissance and Baroque periods, much music was written to be performed at home by amateur musicians to entertain themselves and their friends. Taking its name from Orazio Vecchi’s 1590 collection Selva di varia ricreratione, the SJSU Collegium Musicum performs early modern music that was written for the pleasure of both the performer and the audience.
